Twelfth Night July 17, 2009

Marking the beginning of the 2009 Shakespeare Festival, 'Twelfth Night' brings some of the bard's wildest comedic characters and situations to the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. When the beautiful Viola finds herself shipwrecked on the rocky shores of Illyria, she disguises herself as a man in order to protect her honor in the peculiar place. A gender-bending love triangle creates a quagmire when Viola falls in love with her new boss, Duke Orsino, whose own pursuit, the beautiful Olivia, falls for Viola.
