Want to use social media to improve our health care system and support a local hospital? Please join Social Media Progressives for a night of socializing, education, and action. At this Tweetup, you'll have a chance to network, hear from some amazing speakers, and advocate for universal health care, lower health care costs, and the choice of a public insurance option. Not only that: we will also support the Shriners Hospital for Children by asking attendees to bring a toy, game, or a book for children up to the age of 18. We will deliver the gifts to the Shriners Hospital for Children on Saturday, June 27, which is Organizing for America's National Health Care Day of Service. If you are unable to bring a donation, don't worry! You are still very welcome to attend this Tweetup.

Jarrett Barrios, former State Senator and President of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massacusetts Foundation, will speak to the group about the national health care debate. A representative from the group Doctors for America will also speak about how medical professionals are organizing around the United States to advocate for health care reform. Finally, Organizing for America, Massachusetts, will be on hand with a petition to support national health care reform and will let you know how you can get involved.

Free appetizers will be served and we will hold a raffle (prize to be announced soon)! We will have the lower level of the Sweetwater Cafe to ourselves and a cash bar will be available.
