Tuna Does Vegas, the hilarious new show from the legendary “Greater Tuna” creative team, rolls into The Plaza Theatre in El Paso on Friday Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Thank goodness the slogan, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” doesn’t hold water with the fine folks of Tuna–Texas’ third smallest town. You can bet big dollars that hilarity will be served up higher than a showgirl’s miniskirt when Tony Award nominee Joe Sears and fellow Tuna originator Jaston Williams bring those crazy Tuna characters to life for a trip to Sin City.

The fun begins when oddball-conservative radio host Arles Struvie announces on air that he and his wife Bertha Bumiller are heading to Vegas to renew their wedding vows…but everyone in Tuna, Texas decides to go along for the ride. Starring the incomparable duo Jaston Williams and Joe Sears, who perform all the roles of the favorite characters from the award-winning “Greater Tuna” productions—male and female—and they’ll introduce some new characters too.

Tuna Does Vegas is an affectionate comment on small-town life and attitudes, as well a hilarious satire of the same. Sears and Williams perform all the roles of the eclectic inhabitants of Tuna—men, women, as well as Vegas showgirls and more.

Written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, Tuna Does Vegas will feature scenery designed by Christopher McCollum, costumes designed by Linda Fisher, lighting designed by David Nancarrow and sound designed by Ken Huncovsky.
Tickets range from $20-45. For ticket information contact the Plaza Theatre at (915) 231-1111 or visit http://theplazatheater.org/ or www.ltbaehr.com.
