For one night be at the epicenter of the Los Angeles Alt-Country scene. Three bands (OLD BULL, LOS DUGGANS, WELLDIGGERS BANQUET) are launching their debut albums on Friday, June 22, at Molly Malone's, 575 S. Fairfax, 90036. The three bands embody distinct interpretations of folk and country, alongside the unmistakable mark of Southern California rock, admixed with metal, punk, and old-timey music.

Have your lighters ready alongside your raised fists. Los Duggans is the fiercest quartet this side of the Mississippi. They first came of notice at the Sundance film festival, where they accompanied the controversial live performance "Proving Ground". This is music aimed squarely at your belly, and their debut album "Calvary" features a mix of traditional folk songs and originals arranged with a wash tub bass, banjo, electric guitar and drums.

Old Bull is like a deep drink of Kentucky Bourbon followed by a long hit of homegrown. Their sound is like a chugging locomotive and it hits you likewise. Hailing from Topanga Canyon, their debut album, "Manifesto," is a potent collection of anthems for an upside-down America.
If you been searching for a heart of gold, then you found it in WellDiggers Banquet. Their songs render the soul of the listener bare and stripped naked under the western sky stretching from Texas to California. Their self-titled debut is as melancholy as it is joyful. Pack your hankies next to a flask of tequila. And double tie your dancing shoes.
