Trick Pony, the trio of Heidi Newfield, Keith Burns and Ira Dean crashed through the gates of Nashville with their self-titled debut in 2001. The threesome share songwriting and singing duties, and prove to be capable of various energies on singles like 'Pour Me,' 'On a Night Like This,' and their cover of Johnny Cash's 'Big River.' Hardly afraid to blend in a little bit of old-school twang with contemporary radio-friendly efforts, you can't help but appreciate Trick Pony's onstage enthusiasm.
