BAMcafé Live celebrates the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr. with a tribute to “Mama Africa,” South African singer and activist Miriam Makeba. Under the direction of Latasha Diggs, a host of poets, singers, and musicians—including Tamar-Kali, Mazz Swift, and many others—come together with congas, guitar, and bass to pay homage in song to one of music’s greatest singers and humanitarians.
