Sharon Kihara is a lifelong dancer who began her training in ballet and jazz dance at age 4 before transferring her passion to Bellydance at age 14 and finally Tribal Style Fusion where she is a pioneer in this unique style of belly dance. She was a member of Ultra Gypsy for several years and has performed as a fire dancer with Rabbit in the Moon Productions and esteemed circus company El Circo. Currently Sharon is on a world tour with the Bellydance Superstars as the lead Tribal dancer. She is also a member of Rachel Brice's dance company; The Indigo based in San Francisco and is member of the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance as well. WORKSHOP SCHEDULE Saturday, September 30th 2006


~ TECHNIQUE & ISOLATION DRILLS 9 am-12 noon
This workshop will lay the foundation for understanding the body mechanics and muscle training needed for precise, fluid movement in any style of Bellydance. Develop core strength and flexibility for ultimate control. Comprehensive breakdown of movements makes this workshop suitable for all levels and styles of bellydance.


~ TRIBAL-FUSION COMBOS AND FRESH NEW MOVES 1pm-4pm
This workshop will use the techniques learned on Saturday and apply them to tribal style. (**While the previous workshop is not a pre-requisite to take this one, it is recommended so that the terminology and movements are understood by everyone**) Learn cues for flawless transitions, fine turning styles, and the mesmerizing snaky moves perfected by the Indigo Bellydance Company. Newly-created combos and even a little choreography included! Previous tribal bellydance experience not required.


~ SATURDAY SHOW 8pm
