Tread at the Ted 5k and Family Fun Run May 21, 2011

The Constant Center will be hosting the first annual "Tread at the Ted 5k and Family Fun Run" on May 21st! This inaugural event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Norfolk. Come on out and enjoy great company and a fantastic post race block party being held on Monarch Way after the event full of food, live music and fun!

EVENTS / TIMES:
6:45 am - Day of Registration and packet pick up begins. Registration ends promptly at 7:45am.

8:00 am – 5k begins

9:00 am - Family Fun Run begins

9:45 am - Awards Presentation on grassy area behind Constant Center (on Monarch Way)

5K Details:

Day of Registration and packet pick up will be available up until the morning of the race from 6:45am - 7:45am on May 21st. Online registration will end on Friday, May 20 at noon. Day of race registration will be $25. Pet registration will be $5.00.

Runners bags can be picked up on Friday, May 20th at the Constant Center Box Office from 12pm until 8 pm and before the race on Saturday, May 21st starting at 6:45am.Medals will go to the top 3 Male and Female runners in the following brackets: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Post race results will be posted on www.kalerunning.com.

Included in your 5k race registration is:
• Dri-Fit Tech Shirt*
• Award Medal
• Admission to Post-Race Block Party
• Post race fare (including bagels, fruit, water, etc.)
• 2 adult beverages for each runner 21 and older (please provide ID when ordering adult beverages)
• Premium Race Packet

Family Fun Run Details:

The Family Fun Run will begin at 9:00am and start at the grassy area behind the Constant Center (on the corner of 43rd street and Monarch Way). Participants will follow the sidewalks around the Constant Center once, ending at the starting line (distance is approximately .5 miles). Registration for the Family Fun Run (kids 12 and under) is $10.00 per runner and each participant will be awarded a finisher medal. Parents who wish to participate with their kids are welcome to register as well!

The Tread at the Ted 5k will take place throughout the campus of Old Dominion University and Larchmont neighborhood. Please see the map below for the course route.

Parking
Runners and families should park in the South parking garage, on 43rd street between Monarch Way and Hampton Blvd. Parking in this garage will be free. For a parking map, click here.
