Bjorkestra is a NYC-based 18-piece jazz band performing big band interpretations of the music of Bjork, spanning her entire solo career. Led by arranger/band-leader/alto sax player Travis Sullivan and vocalist Becca Stevens, Bjorkestra's horns and rhythm section will blow you away with upbeat jazz versions of some of Bjork's greatest hits, like "Army of Me" and "Human Behaviour", as well as beautiful, solo-driven versions of songs like "Cocoon" and "Show Me Forgiveness". The energetic, spirited musicians will show you a side of Bjork's music you may never have seen. Travis Sullivan's Bjorkestra is embarking on a short tour of three east coast dates with the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey this weekend, playing songs from their upcoming debut album, "Enjoy!" which is being released January 22nd, 2008 on Koch Records.
