transPOP Symposium
YBCA and UC Berkeley's Institute for East Asian Studies/Southeast Asian Studies and Center for Korean Studies host a symposium examining Korean and Vietnamese historical and contemporary cultural, political and socio-economic interactions. The symposium brings together leading scholars, artists, media producers, and activists to explore the intersections of contemporary popular cultureincluding hallyu and V-popand the legacies of historical trauma in Korea and Vietnam and their diasporas.
