Celebrate mail by rail in this popular annual event! Just in time for Father’s Day, the Postal Museum invites you to toot your own train whistle, sort railway mail, explore transportation stamps, talk like a "mail slinger," and enjoy many other family activities.

Local railroad clubs will showcase their working model railways and a representative from the Railway Mail Service Library will share expertise and two movies about the Railway Mail Service.

Model railroad displays by: Rappahannock Model Railroad Club of Locust Grove Trains Inc., Washington, DC Z-Bend Track Group, and the Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis Chapter of the Train Collectors Association.

Admission to the museum and events are free of charge. The museum is located across from Union Station on Metro's Red Line. For more information, call 202.633.5533 or e-mail [email protected].
