Trailboard Carving Workshop With Craftsman John Garlick July 22, 2012

Craftsman and Captain John T. Garlick will be on hand to teach participants the techniques and artistry of Chesapeake trailboard carving. Garlick has created carved pieces for Pride of Baltimore II, the Lady Maryland, and the Mildred Belle. Over the course of the program, students will develop the concepts and skills needed to make their own unvarnished signboard. Basic tools will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
