Trafford Armed Forces Badge Presentation Ceremony June 21, 2010

Register for Veterans' Badge

Former servicemen and women are being invited to register for veterans’ badges, these will be presented to local Veteran’s at a special Armed Forces day event organised by Trafford Council.

Trafford Armed Forces Ceremony, now in its second year, will be held at Sale Waterside’s Robert Bolt Theatre on Monday 21 June, the week before Armed Forces Day which is on 26 June. Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Kenneth Weston, will present the lapel badges to all Trafford Veteran’s registering to attend the ceremony.

Anyone who has served in the UK armed forces is entitled to claim and wear the veterans' badge. Former merchant marine workers may also apply for them if they were involved in a war zone.

Trafford Council has a limited number to distribute during the ceremony so the requests for badges will be processed on a first come first served basis.
