Traffic Skills 101 (Formerly known as Road I)

Gives
cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic
or on the trail. The course covers bicycle safety checks, fixing a
flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a
student manual. Recommended for adults and children above age fourteen,
this fast-paced, nine-hour course prepares cyclists for a full
understanding of vehicular cycling.Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Traffic Skills 101 is the pre-requisite course for the League Certified Instructor (LCI) Course. It is also a pre-req for the commuter course.

Learn all about defensive cycling - learn to cycle anywhere and almost anytime, communicate with vehicles around you and get just about anywhere easily and safely!

You will need to bring your bicycle, helmet, comfortable, weather appropriate riding clothes and shoes, 2 tubes and tools for changing flats, and snacks/drinks.

Lunch break will be on your own - you may pack a sack lunch or visit a nearby restaraunt.
