Toy Drive For Little Flower Children’s Services of New York November 30, 2009

Suburban Exterminating Co, Inc. presents a Christmas toy drive for Little Flower Children’s Services of New York, an orphanage in Wading River that houses children (infants to young adults) who have lost their most precious gift – their Family. The drive will run from 7 a.m. on Monday, November 30 through noon on Saturday, December 12 and donation hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. The designated site for donations is Suburban Exterminating’s Glass Office, located at the main office in the red brick building at 879 West Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787.

As one of the largest child welfare agencies in New York State, Little Flower struggles to make sure that each of the 2,000 children and developmentally disabled adults in care are remembered during the holidays. Suburban Exterminating joins Little Flower and asks Long Islanders to reach out to those in need and consider fulfilling their holiday wishes this year. In addition, Suburban Exterminating will be making a considerable donation to match donors’ generosity.

Donations of new items in original packaging are currently being accepted. Little Flower is especially in need of gifts for teens between ages 13 and 21 and offer the following suggestions: Gift Cards, iPods, MP-3 Players, Discmans, Video Games (Xbox, Playstation, Wii), music CDs, skateboards & helmets, DVD movies, radio controlled cars, portable DVD players, toiletries and bath items, laptop computers for college-bound students, CD player/radio and journals. A gift wish list is also available online at http://littleflowerny.org. To fulfill a personal gift wish, specify the child you intend the gift for and in which Cottage. Wrapped gifts should include a note whether it is for a girl or boy and what age range.

In addition to Surburban Exterminating locations, all donations can either be sent to: Little Flower c/o External Relations, 2450 North Wading River Road, Wading River, NY 11792 or they can be dropped off on campus in Building #13, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
