Tox-Away Day September 12, 2009

The Vanderburgh and Posey County Solid Waste Districts will sponsor the annual 'Tox-Away Day' in Roberts Stadium parking lot. Materials you can bring are: motor oil and filters, automobile batteries and fluids, gasoline, antifreeze,thermometers/mercury, pharmaceuticals and pool chemicals, household cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, household batteries and glue and adhesives, photographic chemicals and pesticides (insecticides and herbicides), oil-based paint (no latex), solvents and thinners and aerosol cans. Materials NOT to bring are: commercial waste, infectious waste, industrial waste, explosives and ammunition, pressurized containers, gas cylinders, latex paint, smoke detectors, radioactive waste, fire extinguishers, appliances and tires. This free service is for households only.
