Background of Event: This will be a timely town hall meeting in the wake of the current conversation sparked by Don Imus’s recent racist and sexist remarks. The meeting will be an opportunity to dialogue about the hole in our moral souls that this incident exposed, and more importantly about what African Americans – and all Americans – can do to heal, such as strengthening our families, our relationships, our community, and our country. Central to the discussion will be the issue of re-branding the image of Black America, ending the proliferation of misogyny and racism, wherever it occurs, reinforcing positive images for our children and for ourselves.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

Hosted by Shiloh Baptist Church, The Jamestown Project, Sistermoms, Inc. and Futuristic Youth
