Toronto Singles Intro To White Water Kayaking May 29, 2010

Join Meet Market Adventures and other Adventurous Singles for a fun and exciting day of White Water Kayaking. Feel the white water rapids splash against your face and experience the control of your sport kayak weave around the rapids that are quickly approaching! Enjoy the breathtaking views that only the Grand River in the Elora Gorge can offer!

The day will start off with an introduction to paddling basics and safety, proceeding with all the strokes, braces, and paddling techniques used in whitewater. In addition, time will be spent "reading the rapids", increasing your whitewater and overall awareness of the river. The Grand River flows through an impressive limestone canyon known as the Elora Gorge and riding on those timid rapids, will give you the confidence to succeed in the introductory course!

Equinox uses only fully certified instructors and has one of the lowest instructor to student ratios in the industry. Price includes: all equipment (kayak, pfd, helmet, paddle, wetsuit, paddling jacket), instructors, gratuity and taxes. Please bring your own lunch. No open toed shoes-NO flip Flops. Dress for the weather as this is a rain or shine event and bring a change of clothes and a towel.
