Toronto Singles Intro To Curling March 20, 2010

Join Meet Market Adventures and other Adventurous Singles for a unique and exciting afternoon of curling at Leaside Curling Club. Curling is easy to learn, takes a lifetime to master and is complex enough to make it addictive. The program begins with an hour of curling lessons by qualified and friendly instructors. The lesson covers safety on ice, how to deliver a stone, sweeping, and some of the terminology used to describe different aspects of the game.

After the instruction we will have one hour to practice our newly found skills. Then we will enjoy ourselves in the Lounge with a cozy fireplace, comfortable furniture, a large spectator area, a well-stocked bar with hot snacks and a wide-screen television. No previous experience is necessary! Price includes all equipment, lessons, instructors and taxes.

Clothing: Please dress warmly but wear comfortable, loose-fitting sport type clothes. Your shoes must be clean (clean at home beforehand) and carry them in, do not wear your shoes into the arena. Your shoes should have a good sole that will grip on the ice. Slip on sliders will be provided to wear over your shoes when you throw the stone. All other equipment will be provided.
