Closing night for the silent film festival. As a special treat, we present comedian Buster Keaton in 2 famous films-first up THE RAILRODDER 1965, the NFB's iconic short with Buster riding the rails from coast to coast in one of the last films he ever made. Then it's back to his greatest achievement: The General 1926. As the American Civil War breaks out, Buster tries to join the Southern army only to get soundly turned down. But when his beloved steam locomotive, The General, gets stolen by the Union army with his girlfriend on board, he has only one chance to save them both. Give Chase.
Our special guests from Australia, in their North American debut, the Viola Dana will perform their original score live.
The evening will be introduced by Keaton fan Ryan Barnett.
