A young man returns from the War of the Roses to find his father mysteriously murdered. Treachery lurks in every scene as the hero plunges deeper into intrigue and closer to his revenge. Terrific swordplay throughout leads to a classic ending.
Frenchman's Creek 1944 w. Joan Fontaine, Basil Rathbone
Dashing, swashbuckling Frenchman pirate pits his wits and sword against villainy on the Cornish coast. Fontaine is delicious as the damsel not in distress in this glorious Technicolor romp.
Special guest U of T film professor Cam Tolton will introduce Frenchman's Creek.
