a new reason to sleep through friday

More striking than Drop the Lime's slicked-back hair and gold tooth are his DJ sets, which are, of course, full of Trouble & Bass. Also known as Curses!, he has played with such talent as A-trak, Moby, DJ AM, and Buraka Som Sistema and has remixed such artists as Little Boots, Blaqstarr, and fellow Trouble & Bass member AC Slater. If his sets leave clubs torn apart and kids exhausted, then his album (dropping this summer) will most likely hit the streets like an atomic dance bomb.

Designer Drugs (DJ duo Michael and Theo) have toured the world with their thumping sounds, getting kids high on bass from LA to Melbourne. You may know them by their hit "Zombies!" but they've also remixed Mariah, Little Boots, Heartsrevolution, Midnight Juggernauts, and Treasure Fingers.

Maluca -- the latest addition to Diplo's label Mad Decent -- has been spitting fire around the streets of NYC for a while now. Fashionable and feisty, this dominicana MC charges through bachata beats with hip hop muscle and club music sensibilities. If the genre of electro-mambo-ghettotech had a face, the face would be Maluca's.

The three artists take over Santos to kick off the new weekly Thursday series "Tonight We Ride"
