The Tobenski-Algera Concert Series, founded by composers Dennis Tobenski and Jeff Algera, is devoted to the presentation of new works by young and emerging composers. The series had presented over a dozen substantial new works since its inception in April 2006. Notably, the series premiered the piano-vocal version of David Del Tredici’s song cycle Gay Life in June 2007, with the composer at the piano, to a warm review in the New York Times, which called the performance “dynamic” and “engaging.” More information is available online at www.tobenskialgera.com, via email at [email protected], or by calling 815-953-1979.
