Their name taken from a Monty Python sketch, Toad the Wet Sprocket's mellow, melodic folk-pop sound made them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990s. Recording six albums, the group officially split in 1998, but infrequent reunion shows still prove that the band's popularity has not waned. Singer/songwriter Stephen Kellogg started out as a solo act and is now backed up by a full band.
