It is estimated that 17 million Americans suffer from depression. Two thirds are not treated. Untreated depression is the leading cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people. To Write Love On Her Arms (“TWLOHA”) is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA encourages, informs, inspires, and also invests directly into treatment and recovery. Co-sponsored by University Health Services and EMU Campus Life.
