To Kill A King’s sound begins with lead singer Ralph Pelleymounter’s acoustic songs. Around which, the band work in drums, bass, electric guitar, keyboards & other instruments. They focus on Pelleymounter’s lyrical narrative with accompaniments ranging from tender instrumentals to climactic orchestral passages including strings, brass & 5 part harmonies. To Kill A King released their debut single 'Fictional State' on Communion in 2011. Since then, they have embarked on 2 UK headline tours & sold out Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, the Garage & XOYO (as part of Q Magazine’s ‘Now: The Sessions’ series). Their second single (from 2011's Crooked Saint EP) Bloody Shirt was iTunes single of the week (50,000+ downloads), received Radio 1 airplay from Zane Lowe & Huw Stevens, Radio 2 airplay from Nemone & was playlisted on XFM & Absolute Radio.

The new album ‘Cannibals with Cutlery’ is produced by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Bombay Bicycle Club), Charlie Hugall (Florence and the Machine & The Maccabees) & Andy Green (Keane, Paulo Nutini) & is set for release on February 24th 2013 . The first single from the album, ‘Cold Skin’ is to be released simultaneously with a 2nd single scheduled for March.
