Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) celebrates the grand opening of the Kelly Cullen Community in the completely renovated historic Central YMCA building. Built with the support of many public and private partners, the historic and groundbreaking project brings together housing, social work services and a primary care clinic operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Named for one of the founders of TNDC, the late Brother Kelly Cullen, the renovation will provide 172 studio apartments with easy access to healthcare and supportive services to help people facing complex life challenges to stabilize their lives and live with autonomy and dignity.

TNDC’s mission is to provide affordable housing and services for low-income people in the Tenderloin and throughout San Francisco, to promote equitable access to opportunity and resources.Since its founding in 1981, the TNDC portfolio has grown to 31 buildings serving more than 3,200 tenants. TNDC provides its tenants with professionally managed, affordable housing and vital services that help to ensure tenants maintain their housing and increase their health and well-being. The organization has more than 15 years of experience housing and providing on-site case management services to a variety of low-income populations, including chronically homeless adults and families, and those with chronic and persistent mental illness, medical conditions, substance use issues co-occurring disorders. Many of these tenants are frequent users of crisis health services.
