TNDC’s 31st Anniversary Dinner

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) will celebrate 31 years of providing hope and homes at its 31st Anniversary Dinner on Wednesday, May 9 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Union Square Hilton, San Francisco. The festive evening chaired by Fred Levin and Nancy Livingston will feature cocktails, dinner, a heartwarming program emceed by ABC7 anchor Cheryl Jennings, dancing with live entertainment by the Robert Vickers Orchestra, a special rendition of “Happy Birthday” sung by a cast member of Beach Blanket Babylon and the annual presentation of the Brother Kelly Cullen Community Award. 




Named for the late former TNDC Executive Director, the Brother Kelly Cullen Award is given to an individual who shows extraordinary community spirit and compassion in providing services to San Francisco’s poorest and neediest residents. This year, the Award is going to Mimi Yee, the owner of the Manor House Restaurant, that serves up hundreds of affordable meals to Tenderloin residents six days a week.




Hundreds of supporters will be on hand to toast TNDC’s long history of providing safe, affordable housing and support services for low-income people in San Francisco. Individual tickets to TNDC’s 31th Anniversary Dinner are $200 each, and tables start at $2,000.

As the owner of the Manor House Restaurant, located on the ground floor of TNDC’s Antonia Manor at the corner of Turk and Jones streets, Mimi serves up hundreds of affordable meals to Tenderloin residents six days a week. The home-style cooking, generous portions and remarkably low prices have made Manor House a Tenderloin institution and a crucial source of food security. Without Mimi’s help, many of the Tenderloin’s senior and disabled residents would be much hungrier. 

Mimi’s restaurant not only serves healthy, low-cost meals, but provides a community gathering place for those living alone in SROs. Without the Manor House in the neighborhood, many low-income residents would have one less place to gather, socialize, share a meal and leave with money in their pockets.
