Special birthday bash / show / party for Phil Darling on Saturday May 31 at the Rosemont Orange Hall. Phil is originally from Alliston and is a founding member of Tin Bangs.
The party begins at 5:30, Tin Bangs perform at 10pm, and festivities continue into the wee hours. Free admission, cash bar, and we're expecting a capacity crowd so people are strongly encouraged to get there well in advance of the show!
Tin Bangs have quickly established themselves as a premiere indie rock band in Canada. Ben Taylor (vocals, guitar), Phil Darling (bass, vocals) Bryan Dunlay (guitar) and Robbie Butcher (percussion, vocals) have forged an intense new sound that incorporates the most exciting elements of rock, fusing the raw power of 70's punk with the melodic hooks of today's headlining acts.
Tin Bangs command the stage with a rock n' roll swagger usually reserved for seasoned veterans of the rock clubs. Having entered the game a little over a year-and-a-half ago, the boys have catapulted their signature sound out of the small club and onto the big stage, opening for such bands as The Killers, Editors, Art Brut, Datarock and many others.
Tin Bangs have cultivated a core following in Toronto and a strong international street-level presence. The band consistently sells out headlining shows in Toronto and are poised for the next stage of their skyrocketing career trajectory.
