Timothy Bloom was raised in his father's Fayetteville, North Carolina church where the gospel music he heard would later influence his own music. He started playing drums, piano and guitar for the church's band, and while he loved playing music, he yearned for rock and roll. His parents denounced non-religious music so young Bloom would steal away in his parents' car to scan the car radio for Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and Marvin Gaye. Fusing R&B, hip hop, country, soul and rock, Bloom has created a sound wholly his own.
