Time Out New York Back to School Blowout September 17, 2006

Grab your friends and head to the south plaza of Union Square Park on Sunday, September 17 from noon to 4pm for the annual Time Out New York Back to School Blowout. This outdoor festival, celebrating the launch of our 2006 Student Guide, will feature live performances by the Juan Maclean, Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s, the Rosewood Thieves, members of the cast of Broadway’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pete Dominick (warm-up comedian for The Colbert Report and host of Sirius Radio’s Comedy By Request) and more.

Plus, find out about cool volunteer opportunities, enjoy free grub by Trader Joe’s, Heartland Brewery and Peanut Butter & Company, and pick up tons of giveaways from companies including Gotham Comedy Club, Crunch, JetBlue Airways, Museum of Sex, New York Sports Club, Pearl Paint, Sephora, Blick Art, New York City Center, New York City Opera, Apollo Theater, Planned Parenthood of New York City, Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Broadway and Off Broadway shows like Wicked, The Producers, Stomp, Blue Man Group and Hairspray.
