Two years before he began work on the Plan of Chicago, Daniel Burnham drew plans to modernize Manila, the capitol of the Philippine Islands, and Baguio, a nearby small city. The photography exhibition documents the powerful presence the buildings and parks built to Burnham's plan still have in the often chaotic landscapes of these two cities. Tim Long, a Chicago landscape and architectural photographer, worked on this project from 2006 to 2008 with assistance from a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts.
