The London Festival of Photography presents a modern-day fairytale from Siberia told through the lens of the very talented Evgenia Arbugaeva.

Evgenia Arbugaeva departed the freezing port town Tiksi at the age of eight. Compelled to find out whether the place stood up to her fairy tale-like childhood memories she returned as an adult where she met young Tania, a girl who provided the inspiration for the resulting body of work featured in this exhibition. Tiksi represents Arbugaeva's tender exploration of her own childhood.

Arbugaeva was awarded the coveted Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund for this evocative part-factual, part-fictional work. The young Russian photographer is making waves in the international photography scene with her work recently featured on the New York Times Lens Blog and CNN Photos.

The exhibition for the first time brings Arbugaeva’s unique style and playful imagination to the heart of London.

Mon–Wed 8:30am-6pm, Thur– Fri 8:30am–7pm, Sat 9am-5:30pm.
