June is library users request month for the Williamsburg Regional Library's Thursday Afternoon Film Series. The five movies being shown have been personally requested by library users. All films will be screened in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland Street, beginning at 2 p.m. Admission is free and reservations are not required. In her signature role, Rita Hayworth is stunning as Gilda, the femme fatale at the center of a nasty love triangle. A ruthless casino owner (George Macready) and his disturbingly possessive flunky (Glenn Ford) vie with Gilda in a malicious struggle for love and revenge. Great film noir directed by Charles Vidor.
