Thurmaston Armed Forces Day & branch 75 Anniversary June 26, 2009

Continuing with the party spirit the Thurmaston Branch will be the centre of attention on the weekend of the 26th to 28th June 2009, when we shall be celebrating not only the 75th anniversary of the formation of the branch but also Armed Forces Day. Starting on the Friday evening (26th) at 20:00 hours in the RBL club will be evening entertainment and a BBQ; on the Saturday (Armed Forces Day) there will be a street fair from 13:00 to 17:00 hours with fairground and entertainment from the Leicestershire and Rutland County RBL Pipe Band and also the Thurmaston Scouts and Guides Band. Saturday evening entertainment will be inside the Thurmaston RBL Club. On Sunday (28th) there will be a service of rededication for the new RBL Thurmaston Branch standard in the Church of St Michael and All Angels in Thurmaston and a parade through the village to the RBL Thurmaston Club for refreshments. Please help us to make this weekend extra special and join in wherever you can.
