The Art Directors Guild’s Gallery 800 announces ‘Three Artists You Should Know’ Showcase Exhibition, which will open on January 7th with a hosted reception from 5:00-9:00pm. Located in the heart of the famed NoHo Arts District, Gallery 800 showcases guild members’ personal art in a series of shows throughout the year. The January 7th reception will feature great works from Mauro Borrelli, Jim Fiorito, and Patrick Janicke. The exhibit will be on display from January 7 – January 28, 2012.

Film Director/Writer/Producer Mauro Borrelli was born in Italy in 1961 where he studied art at the Art Academy of Venice.
His debut feature, GOODBYE CASANOVA, starring Flea (Red Hot Chilly Peppers} and Jasmine Bleeth (Baywatch) won awards at LAIFA and the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. Mauro Borrelli is an established icon of the visual arts in Hollywood; he created unforgettable conceptual art for movies such as PIRATES OF CARRIBEAN 2 and 3, LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, THE HULK, THE PLANET OF THE APES, THE LEGEND OF THE SLEEPY HOLLOW, CAPTAIN AMERICA and THE WOLFMAN, among many others.

Mr. Fiorito has taught scenic art and scenery construction at UCLA & Santa Monica College. In Paris, he has shown at Madam Volpe's Galerie Des Ambassadeurs and exhibited at the Palais Luxembourg as a member of Les Societete Sur-Independants of France. He has worked on the backings of major motion pictures (the Star Trek Films among others) and on shows for the Center Theater Group, The Civic Light Opera and other legitimate theater productions. He has worked at the three major networks on many of their shows both live and taped.

Patrick Janicke enjoys designing imaginative fantastical vehicles and architecture. With an industrial design degree from his hometown Berlin, Germany he moved to Hollywood in 1992 to do production illustration and concept design for high concept film productions. Hollywood movies based on comic books and science fiction are a great playground for innovative artists and Patrick Janicke contributed countless designs for weapons, vehicles and architecture for dozens of films; from STARGATE to SPIDERMAN, SPEED RACER to TRANSFORMERS 2. Patrick also discovered photography as a rewarding artistic outlet and in 2005 founded his company "fameland," starting with highly art directed fashion photography productions. Later he turned "fameland" into a mini brand that sells apparel and artistic products depicting Patrick Janicke's character creations.
