Thomas Wold / New Work November 10, 2005

Thomas Wold's work explores the intersection of furniture, scuplture, lifestyle design, and high/low art. Does utility change the meaning of creative work? Can known objects be un-known and rethought? How do objects in our environments interact with our own internal landscapes to set a mood and create an experience? In his new solo show, Wold goes outside the bounds of his past design and fabrication commission work to experiment and play with perceived delineations between disciplines.
