This Is How Pearl Does Fiesta April 6, 2011

Come down to the Pearl Brewery during the week of Fiesta and enjoy a more laid-back side of the San Antonio Tradition. Events at the Pearl during the week of the Fiesta include window installations by local artists, the first ever Pearl papel picado, Pearl medals and special Sundays in the Park at Pearl with great music, fiesta activities and as always, amazing food and drinks. Fiesta shopping featuring trunk shows at Adelante, Gorky Gonzales Fiesta ware at Melissa Guerra, and beauty specials to get you looking like a Fiesta start at Aveda from April 7-17.

Schedule of Events:

Thursday, April 7-17: Pearl will be decorated with papel picado, fiesta wreaths and window installations by San Antonio contemporary artists like Beto Gonzales, Cruz Ortiz and Claire Little, among others.

Sunday, April 10: Fiesta kick-off in the Park at Pearl featuring Los #3 Dinners, Fiesta décor, fiesta medals and Fiesta-themed workshops.

Monday, April 11: Park and walk to the River Parade from the Pearl. Avoid the crowd and parking hassles and start the evening with margaritas and appetizers at La Gloria.

Tuesday, April 12: Niosa (Night in old San Antonio) opening and Cornyation opening. Stop by for early an dinner and drinks at Sandbar or Il sogno. Park and walk or bike to La Villita.

Friday, April 15: Battle of Flowers Parade.

Saturday, April16: Farmers Market – El Rey Feo to visit and give people medals (closed in evening).

Sunday, April 17: Final Fiesta in the Park featuring jazz legend Butch Miles, specialty food and Fiesta workshops
