Panelists' Profiles:

  • Dr. Homa Bahrami is a Senior Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. Dr. Bahrami's research focuses on trends in organizational design and governance, and approaches for leading and engaging multi-cultural knowledge workers. Her new book Super-Flexibility For Knowledge Enterprises, (co-authored with Stuart Evans), focuses on leading knowledge enterprises in turbulent, global markets.

  • Sara Beckman is a Senior Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. She teaches new product development and manufacturing and operations management. In over ten years, she developed, institutionalized, and directed the school's Management of Technology Program, initiated new courses on design, entrepreneurship in biotechnology, and new product development.


  • Micah Siegel is a Consulting Professor at Stanford University in the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he co-teaches a graduate course on Business Management for Electrical Engineers and Computer Scientists. Through C2C, Micah is a co-founder of Affinity Circles, Adapt Technologies, and Kuvera Investments. These companies have raised over $30M in seed-stage venture capital.


  • Dave Hornik is a General Partner at August Capital where he invests in early stage software, infrastructure and Internet related companies. Prior to joining August Capital, David was a corporate and licensing attorney who represented and advised numerous Internet and enterprise software startups. David works with or has worked with such companies as Yahoo, Six Apart, Evite, Tickle, PayCycle, Ofoto, When.com, WhoWhere?, DoneRight and Sonique. See Dave's Blog.


  • David Coleman is the Founder and Managing Director of Collaborative Strategies (CS) and has been involved with groupware, collaborative technologies, and knowledge management (KM) since 1989. He is a frequent public speaker, an industry analyst, and author of books and magazine articles on electronic collaboration and knowledge management. See David's Blog.
