Theo Jansen Lecture July 4, 2006

Theo Jansen is one of the most extraordinary artists you will ever meet. He studied science at the University of Delft Holland, before becoming an artist and for the last ten years he s been making a new kind of animal: his Strandbeest are skeletons that walk on the wind. Eventually he wants to put these animals out in herds on the beaches, so they can live their own lives. Jansen will talk about his current exhibition at the ICA. Jansen s recent lecture at Ars Electronica received a unanimous standing ovation - this talk is not to be missed.
