Topic Micosoft Visual Studio Team System and Agile Development
Presenter: Barry Gervin
Microsoft Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) is a comprehensive platform that provides integrated Project Management, Source/Version Control, Build Server, Defect Tracking and various forms of testing (Unit, Web, Load, etc.).
One of the most interesting facets of this platform is the ability to customize software development process templates to support various methodologies such as Scrum, XP, FDD, MSF, RUP, etc. Barry has spoken on the topic of VSTS at many of the MS .NET User Groups and will be sharing his experiences with a focus on XP and how VSTS can support it. Many of the features of VSTS and the server component (Team Foundation Server) are supported and useful in non-MS development envirionments as well so this topic will be relevant to a broad audience.
Barry Gervin is a Principal Consultant with ObjectSharp Consulting. A technical leader with over 15 years experience, he has helped many development teams architect and build large-scale mission critical applications.
