Saturday Oct 7 10 am - 1 pm $50

Each attendee receives a packet which contains guidelines for improving your writing; addresses of publishers interested in new writers; advice by poets, other writers, editors, and publishers; a list of contests for poetry and short stories; as well as writers’ retreats and conferences. We will discuss which publishers pay what kind of work they want, and where to perform. We will have a $2 raffle for a pristine copy of Rattapallax poetry/film journal.

Marcielle’s poetry has been praised by Jack Hirschman, Poet Laureate of San Francisco, among others. Marcielle earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Writing from USC. Her poems have been translated into four languages and published internationally since 1987. She appears in Who’s Who in the World for 2006,and her book of poems, The Breathing House is due in November 2006.
