Riverside Theatres presents a brand new offering of sharp satire and edgy humour with the season of the Sydney Theatre Company’s THE WHARF REVUE from Tuesday 13 November for six shows only. The skilful revue team of Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe, Phillip Scott and Valerie Bader continue to make Sydneysiders laugh at themselves and each other through their razor-sharp wit, political satire and mischievous theatrical antics.

Late 2007 and the nation sweats on the big decision that will decide on our collective future: who will be Australian Idol V. In this new and entertaining dose of clever humour nothing and nobody is spared. The revue team treats the audience with an unrelenting attack on politicians, public figures and celebrities. In keeping with THE WHARF REVUE tradition, their return is once more to the barricades to defend free speech as they dare to go where few others can be bothered.

For seven years THE WHARF REVUE, a troupe of four talented performers and who have been described as Australia’s finest ‘satirical vivisectionists’, have entertained audiences with a concoction of comedy, songs and satirical sketches. The revue and THE WHARF REVUE series are now regarded as a dynamic Sydney cultural institution.
