The Timothy Group is pleased to announce the first annual Way of the Sniper experience. This opportunity occurs 15-22 October 2009 at Fort Benning Army Installation, Columbus, Georgia. The event is designed for those who seek detailed insights into the world of the sniper. This October you will have an entire week to observe Military and Professional Snipers from around the world. The International Sniper Competition will afford you, the observer, an opportunity to note the discipline, preparation, engagement, and disengagement of targets and objectives. At the conclusion of the week all sniper specific weapons and experimental weapons will be available for your examination and firing. The venues that will be executed are: Stalking, engagement of near targets, night observation, long range target acquisition, break contact, hide sight, pistol, rifle, large calibur employment, and more. The cost of this week long event includes: Transport to various venues on post, Sniper observation, Ammunition and Weapons firing. This cost of this eight day event is 125.00 per person. The competition is hosted by the Sniper School under Company C, 2nd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment. More than 30 sniper teams from around the globe will compete. Snipers tested their skills in several events, including aerial shooting, convoy live fire and night shooting. They're meant to simulate real world scenarios they could encounter in a combat environment. Participating in this premier event not only helps snipers identify their own weaknesses but also provides a forum for different branches of the military and snipers from around the world to learn from each other and perfect their techniques.
