NOT SINCE THE CIVIL WAR or The O. J. Simpson Murder Trial has race been such an integral part of America's daily discussion. Somehow after The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About An Hour --- a seamless hybrid of stand-up comedy, solo theatrical performance and a multi-media presentation --- opened in 2007, things have managed to get better and worse! Way back in 2007, celebrity racism was all the rage. (See Michael Richards, Sarah Silverman, Don Imus, Rosie O'Donnell etc) And every month another public figure jumped on the racism bandwagon. (See golf commentator Kelly Tilghman, Dog The Bounty Hunter, scientist James Watson). Yes, it was a simpler time for racists in America. And yet somehow after all that racism, we are at the dawn of America’s first black president. And in response to Barack Obama's historic bid for the White House, racism has redoubled, no re-quadrupled - its efforts.
