DeObia’s journey from childhood poverty to guest starring in Hollywood films is truly inspirational. After years spent honing his craft working with the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and acting alongside Hollywood’s A List, DeObia studied the performance skills and acting techniques of his-co stars. DeObia Oparei’s credits
At 17, DeObia’s life was transformed when Theatre Complicite cast him in an Edinburgh Festival production. Leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre followed. In 1991, he featured in ALIEN III, which led to guest starring roles on British television. After taking the lead in SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION, for the Sydney Theatre Company (Australia), DeObia was cast as Le Chocolat in MOULIN ROUGE.
