Shujaa Graham was sentenced to death in 1976 in CA for a crime he did not commit. As a leader of the Black Prison movement, he was framed and convicted of killing a prison guard. He was tried four times, the CA Supreme Court overturned his death sentence in 1979 and was ultimately found not guilty.
