When the Australian band The Vines burst onto the post-grunge scene in late 2001, the British press was first in line to claim them for their very own. Accolades came fast while the band was thrown into the swarm of impacting acts like the Hives, Haven and Doves. Amidst the hype, the Vines arrived stateside at the 2002 Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. Their full-length debut 'Highly Evolved' came later that year.
