The Very Worst Thing - DVD Release Event February 11, 2011

The Wait is Over! "The Very Worst Thing", the award-winning documentary film which revisits the 1958 Floyd County bus tragedy, will be available for purchase on DVD this February 11th.

The DVD release event will take place at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, KY on Friday, February 11th. The film will be screened at 7:30pm in the main auditorium, and then will be immediately available for purchase in the lobby following... the show.

2 versions of the film will be available - the film itself (on DVD), as well as a 2-disc "Collectors Edition" version of the film. The "Collectors Edition" will feature a DVD version of the film, as well as a second DVD containing special features, bonus interviews, and never-before-seen footage from the film.

DVDs will only be available for purchase this evening for ticketholders to the screening, so it is strongly suggested that you purchase tickets to this special event as soon as possible. "The Very Worst Thing" is the documentary film which revisits the infamous 1958 Floyd County bus tragedy, which claimed 27 lives in eastern Kentucky on February 28, 1958. To this day, it remains the worst school bus accident in U.S. history.

The film features several interviews with those who were personally touched by the tragedy, including survivor Martha Burchett Marsh and Winston Dillon, who were on the bus during the accident. The film also features original pictures from the scene of the tragedy, most of which have been unseen by the general public.

It’s the story about families, as well as an entire community, finding strength during the most devastating of circumstances.
