The G2 Gallery will present sneak peak clips of the upcoming documentary film The Vanishing of the Bees. The evening will include a question and answer session with filmmakers George Langworthy and Maryam Henein and is a fundraiser for the film, which is currently in postproduction. The evening will also include a silent auction benefitting the film.
The Vanishing of the Bees takes a piercing investigative look at the economic, political and ecological implications of the worldwide disappearance of the honeybee. The documentary examines our current agricultural landscape and celebrates the ancient and sacred connection between man and honeybee. The film also highlights the positive changes that have resulted due to a tragic phenomenon known as “Colony Collapse Disorder.” To empower the audience, the documentary provides viewers with tangible solutions they can apply to their everyday lives. The Vanishing of the Bees unfolds as a dramatic tale of science and mystery, illuminating the greater meaning surrounding the relationship between humankind and Mother Earth.
This screening is a part of G2 Gallery’s concert and lectures series. All G2 Gallery events are open to the public. A $10 suggested donation at the door is appreciated.
